Approval research guide
Why product model names alone are not enough
Use model text as a discovery clue, then confirm the exact official record, revision, and configuration.
Model text is not a stable approval identity
The same model text can appear across code editions, revisions, private-label relationships, materials, sizes, or configurations. A PDF can also mention reference models that are not separately approved line items.
Model extraction needs evidence
Create a searchable model entity only when the exact source text, organization relationship, record, configuration scope, and locator are available. Do not turn every capitalized PDF token into a public product model.
Confirm the complete chain
A useful search result connects model text to the exact revision and official document. The reviewer then checks configuration, dates, status, and limitations rather than relying on the name alone.
- Match organization and source alias.
- Open the exact revision.
- Find the model in the official record or document.
- Confirm the configuration scope.
- Keep private-label relationships evidence-bound.
